Hello bookworms and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is Books Written Before I Was Born. This shouldn’t be too difficult as I was born in 1990. I think I will head down the Classics route!
1. The Ugly Ducking by Han Christian Anderson (Published 1843)
2. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum (Published 1900)
3. Going Solo by Roald Dahl (Published 1986)
4. Emma by Jane Austen (Published 1815)
5. Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie (Published 1911)
6. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (Published 1871)
7. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (Published 1956)
8. Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame (Published 1908)
9. Little Women by Louisa May Allcott (Published 1868)
10. Watership Down by Richard Adams (Published 1972)
Most of these are books I have on my TBR, are any of your favourites in the list?
lots of good classics!! The ugly duckling is definitely one of my childhood favorites. Such a good message in it

These are all awesome choices. I have not read many of them, but watched movies or TV shows made from them.

It’s the covers that draw me to them! I loved Roald Dahls first autobiography so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy Going Solo

I really enjoyed ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ when I read it as a kid. SO much better than the movie.
