This is my personal review policy so please read it carefully before contacting me about a review. This policy is subject to change at anytime that I deem necessary.
I am a UK based blogger who enjoys reading and reviewing books in my spare time. I do not get paid for my opinions. I am currently closed for review requests but hope to open requests soon.
The genres I read are as follows:
- YA contemporary
- YA mystery
- YA historical fiction
- Adult literary fiction
- Women’s fiction
- Romance
- Mystery/thriller
- Historical fiction
- Children’s books
- Picture books
At this present time science fiction, fantasy, horror and non fiction are not being accepted.
I will accept books/audiobooks as an ARC, physical copy, or a digital copy.
When contacting me, to make it easier for us both, please include a summary of your book as well as the release date.
When I accept you review request I will aim to read and review the book around the release date. This will either be on the day the book is released or within two weeks after. I do my upmost to review as close to the release day as possible but sometimes life gets in the way. If you are able to then try to contact me a month or two before your release date as I plan my reading a couple of months in advance. Basically the more notice you can give me the better.
All reviews will be posted on my Blog, Twitter and Goodreads accounts. I do try to post on Amazon as well but occasionally I forget, please note that any reviews on my amazon will be from my personal account – Lucy Pidgeon. What happens if I don’t like your book? I do not like to write negative reviews and I will always try to be constructive with my criticism. Any book that I rate 2* or lower will not be posted on my blog or twitter. I will rate it on Goodreads and put a brief review but I do not want to advertise a book in a negative light, especially when it is only just being released.
