Hello all and welcome to the Book Blogger Hop! This is a weekly meme that I have joined in with this year and I can’t wait to answers all these bookish questions!
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

This weeks question is: Do you like writing short or long reviews? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
To be honest I don’t tend to think about how long or short my reviews are. I find that I start my reviews and they last as long as they do. Looking at my reviews I would probably say they are average in length. I don’t give a three word review but I also don’t dive into microscopic detail. The aim of my review is to share my thoughts and grab your interest enough to make you want to read the book, if I tell you everything about it you’ll probably wonder what the point is of reading the book!
How do you write your reviews?

I’m like you, I don’t think about long or short when I’m writing, I just write what I write! I don’t write essays though so I guess I’m more of a short review person!

I’m the same although I do find they can be longer if I write them soon after finishing the book.

I love this post. That’s definitely the right attitude to take with reviews

I think I agree completely with your answer, Lucy. Some are longer than others based on the book.

I think the length of my review depends on my mood as well. If I’m really in the zone I can often go on and on with my reviews 🤣

I’m on the long side! But I should allow myself to write shorter reviews from time to time, if I haven’t much to say.

That sounds like the way to do it.. just let the writing take you where it will.
Thanks for sharing!
