#BookBloggerHop – 22.10.22

Hello all and welcome to the Book Blogger Hop! This is a weekly meme that I have joined in with this year and I can’t wait to answers all these bookish questions!

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

This weeks question is:  Are any of your bookcases buckling under the weight of too many books? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

Well funny you should you mention it I have three full size bookcases hanging in my teaching room and a few weeks ago they all fell off the wall! Thankfully the bookcases remained in tack and no books were damaged but I think that might be the universes way of telling me that I either have too many books or need more bookshelves. I know which one I swaying towards!

How many bookcases do you own?

  1. Ooops. Hope you managed to rescue everything. We used to have 5 bookcases but decided that wasn’t enough so this Spring we got 5 more from IKEA. We currently have room for all our books but I don’t know how long that will last. 😃

  2. My old shelves did buckle, but my new ones seem to be holding up very nicely. Mind you, even after I got rid of like, 50% of my books when I moved to my new place, I’m already seeing that I’ll have to get rid of more!

  3. Oh my goodness, Lucy. I don’t know if hanging bookshelves would still be hanging with all the books I have stuffed on them, so I use ones standing on the floor. I have 5 of them, stuffed full, but not buckling, yet. 😁
