#BookBloggerHop – 24.09.22

Hello all and welcome to the Book Blogger Hop! This is a weekly meme that I have joined in with this year and I can’t wait to answers all these bookish questions!

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

This weeks question is: Have you ever reread a book? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

I’m not usually one for rereading books, after all there are so many books out there I want to read as well, I don’t know when I would find the time. I also think that if you reread then you already know the twists and the spoilers so I would worry that it would takeaway the initial enjoyment.

The only exceptions to this are rereading a childhood favourite or rereading for a series. I have recently reread Noughts and Crosses as I plan to read the rest of the series but again its been years since I read some of the collection so my memory is a little foggy.

I know that some people reread a favourite as a comfort read or to get them out of a slump which is a nice idea.

To reread or not to reread that is the question…..

  1. I think that rereading for a series is sessential especially as sometimes there are long gaps between books being published. I will definitely have to reread Name of the Wind if Patrick Rothfuss ever decides to finish the Kingkiller chronicles as it’s been years!!

  2. I pretty much agree with your thoughts, Lucy. I will also add that I have reread a book by accident. It was a new cover and by the time I realized I had read it before, I skim read it as I sometimes forget the story.
