20 Books of Summer 2022 – Final Update!

Hello bookworms!

How is the summer over? I’m always sad when the challenge nears the end as it is one of my favourites. I love how relaxed it is and we can adapt it to suit our reading tastes. For this years challenge I decided to only count the books I read and not my audiobooks as well. This was largely due to the fact that I read and listen to a lot in a month so wanted to make the challenge a little more difficult for myself. Shall we see how I got on?

In June I managed six out of the twenty which meant I needed to read 7 in July and August. This seemed achievable but with the summer holidays starting towards the end of July anything could happen!

During July I managed to stay on target and completed 7 books for the challenge. Heading into August I hoped I could keep the stamina going, but with the summer holidays in full swing I wasn’t sure.

I am so pleased to say that I did it! In fact August was probably my favourite month for books I read. I had 6 five star reads and one four star which isn’t bad going for one month. Once again thank you to our lovely host Cathy over on 746Books for hosting a brilliant challenge. I look forward to next year!

Did you 20 Books of Summer? How did your challenge go?

  1. Congratulations on completing the challenge, Cathy. I did as well. I also wanted to make it a bit more difficult this year so chose all books with “Summer” in the title. It was a bit challenging and I took it to the wire. Summer is still here though and I will take advantage to every day at or close to 80.
