Hello bookworms!
I have decided to start a new monthly feature on my blog called Series Saturday. I was amazed at how many book series I had on my shelf and thought it was about time I shared them with you all. Each month I will choose one series to feature. This may be a series I have read and loved or am yet to read. This month I have decided to share a crime series from an author I discovered on NetGalley…..

Nick Louth is an English author that I discovered when I first joined NetGalley. His books have now become a staple in my crime reading collection. The series focuses on DCI Craig Gillard as he tries to solve a murder in each book.
For anyone not familiar with this series here is the synopsis of the first book The Body In The Marsh….
When a woman goes missing, it gets personal for DCI Craig Gillard. But he could never imagine what happens next.
Criminologist Martin Knight lives a gilded life and is a thorn in the side of the police. But then his wife Liz goes missing. There is no good explanation and no sign of Martin…
To make things worse, Liz is the ex-girlfriend of DCI Craig Gillard who is drawn into the investigation. Is it just a missing person or something worse? And what relevance do the events around the shocking Girl F case, so taken up by Knight, have to do with the present?
The truth is darker than you could ever have imagined.
What do I love about this series?
This is a gripping and fun series to read. Each book focuses on a different crime and can be read as a standalone. I would recommend starting from the beginning though as the reoccurring characters are great! DCI Craig Gillard and his team are a fun bunch and the office banter often makes me smile in during the reads, it’s hard to not feel like one of the team. Red herrings, misdirection and plot twists are always featured in these books but each one is unique in it’s own way.
If you want a fast paced, action packed crime series then look no further!
Have you read any books by Nick Louth? Which is your favourite book in the collection?
Fancy sharing a series on your shelf? Why not join in?

As a devourer of crime fiction, I’m really surprised that I haven’t heard of this author before. This is definitely a series that I need to check out.

You’re very welcome!
Series are such a fantastic way to hold on to the characters you love while still getting to experience a new adventure in each book.
