Series Saturday – May

Hello bookworms!

I have decided to start a new monthly feature on my blog called Series Saturday. I was amazed at how many book series I had on my shelf and thought it was about time I shared them with you all. Each month I will choose one series to feature. This may be a series I have read and loved or am yet to read. This month I have decided to share a series from an author I discovered last year…..

Heidi Swain is an English author who’s books are infamous for their cosy communities, loveable characters and fun storylines! Heidi has three book series and today I am sharing the Wynmouth collection. Set in an idyllic seaside town this collection is bound to warm your hearts and have you grinning from ear to ear. If you are a lover of audiobooks then I suggest listening to them as the narrator, Karen Cass, is fantastic! You don’t have to read the books in order as each one in the collection focuses on a different character.

For anyone not familiar with this series here is the synopsis of the first book The Secret Seaside Escape….

Tess Tyler needs a break. Weighed down by her high-pressure job and her demanding father, she’s left little time to take care of herself. But after a shocking discovery sends her spiralling, she flees to Wynmouth, the seaside town she fell in love with as a child, to escape it all.

With its sandy beaches, stunning rock pools and welcoming community, Tess feels like she can finally breathe again. And as she grows ever closer to local barman Sam, she dares to dream that she might never return to her real life. But when a familiar face returns to town, Tess realises that there are secrets in Wynmouth too, and that her own past may be about to catch up with her . . .

The Secret Seaside Escape  is the perfect read this summer, promising sandy beaches, stunning rockpools and breath-taking romance. Perfect for fans of Carole Matthews and Sarah Morgan.

What do I love about this series?

After a few of the ladies in my book club raved about Heidi I decided to bite the bullet and give her books a go. I haven’t looked back and I have actually devoured 9 of her books across the three series so far! Reading a book by Heidi is like having a good catch up with an old friend. They know just how you want your tea, what your favourite treats are and leave you feeling so much better about yourself. Heidi’s books are cosy, funny, loveable and quite emotional at times. It is the sense of community though that I love in Heidi’s stories. With reoccurring characters you often see some familiar faces and it’s not long before you feel like one of the community.

The Summer Fair is actually out now so why not grab yourself a new book?

Have you read any books by Heidi Swain? Which is your favourite book in the collection?

Fancy sharing a series on your shelf? Why not join in?
