Top 10 Tuesday – 24/08/21

Hello bookworms and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time

I’m often jealous when someone reads a book that I have recommended to them because I know what they are about to read will be amazing and I want those feelings again. The sad thing is that with the number of books on my ever growing to be read rereading is not something I tend to do. There are so many books I could put on this list but I’ve chosen to focus on books I have read this year.

1. One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin

Is there an award for most used book in Top Ten Tuesday lists? If so then this has stolen it by a long shot! I have been passing my copy of the book round to everyone I know and I am yet to meet someone who hasn’t fallen in love with this book.

2. The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle by Matt Cain

Oh Albert you have stolen a little piece of my heart. Once again this was another firm favourite from this year and I’d love to recapture the magic of Albert and his story.

3. Circus of Wonders by Elizabeth Macneal

This story was so unusual I’d just love to be back in the circus and watching Nell fly!

4. The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

I loved the complicated storyline of this one. It was cleverly written and as usual I hadn’t spotted all the clues along the way. I’d love to play detective again.

5. The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams

This historical fiction read had all the feelings. I loved Esme’s journey and how she collected her words. It was beautifully written and full of emotion.

6. The Sight Of You by Holly Miller

This was one that made me bawl! I thought the concept was very unique and the way it unfolded as perfectly timed.

7. The Flat Share by Beth O’Leary

This had me grinning from ear to ear! Tiffy and Leon’s story was full of laughter, tears and romance, it’s guaranteed to brighten up anyone’s day!

8. The Push by Ashley Audrain

This book was shocking! It was dark, twisted and every mothers worst nightmare but I loved it. That final sentence left me with chills.

9. You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry

Emily Henry never seems to disappoint with her books and this funny romantic read was no exception.

10. Meet Me In Another Life by Catriona Silvey

I had completely underestimated this book when I went into it. The story didn’t play out how I thought it would at all. The concept was original and the characters were fantastic.

Have you read any of the ones on my list? Which one takes your fancy?
