Hello Bookworms!
I originally saw this tag on Flowers In The Brain. I love tags, especially ones that get me looking at my bookcase differently! Lets get started….
Describe your bookshelf and where you got it from- My bookcases are cheap ones from Argos but my lovely dad took them apart and rebuilt them so I could optimise my shelf space and get as many books on there as possible. In total I have 6 bookcases and they are quite full!
How do you organise your books?- I have them split into hardcovers, classics and paperbacks. They are then organised by author surname alphabetically.
What’s the longest and shortest books on your shelf?-
My longest book is the Lewis Carroll collection which is 1165 pages long! My shortest is Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans at 30 pages.
Is there a book you received as a birthday gift? – All my friends and family know that I love reading so quite a few of my books are ones I’ve received as presents. My husband likes to buy me the classics and last year he bought me these.

Is there a book from a friend on your shelf?- My friend got me a beautiful edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It’s one of those where you don’t want to open it because the pages are so delicate.

The most expensive book on your shelf? – Probably the Jane Austen set pictured above.
The last book you read on your shelf? This Idea Of You by Robinne Lee
Do you have a complete series? – I have the entire Harry Potter collection, Noughts and Crosses series, Twilight saga and the Why Mummy series. There are plenty more on my bookcase but those instantly spring to mind.
What’s the newest addition to your shelf? The Sight Of You by Holly Miller. I read this as an eBook and got myself a physical copy because I loved it so much!
The oldest book on your shelf? – I have my husband’s copy of The Twits by Roald Dahl which was one of the first books he ever owned as a child.
What’s a book you’d hate to let out of your sight? – All of them!
Most beat up book? – I have a borrowed copy of I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh that the previous owner dropped in the bath!
Most pristine book? 90% of my collection is in excellent condition. I love my books too much to damage them.
A book that doesn’t belong to you? – I have a few borrowed ones on my bookcase. I’ve had Under the Pole Star by Stef Penney the longest though.
A book that is your favourite colour? I have a lovely edition of Watership Down that is in a beautiful forest green colour!

A book that’s been on your shelf the longest and you still haven’t read it?
With over 500 books there are quite a few on there!
Of all the books on your shelf, which was the first you read?
The first book I remember reading was Matilda but unfortunately my copy got lost at some point. I do have a copy of Noughts and Crosses which I read as a teenager that is still on my bookcase. It’s my most read book and one of my all time favourites.

Any signed books?
Oooh we love a signed book! I have The Year I Met You by Cecelia Ahern, Postscript Murders by Elly Griffiths, The Shape of Darkness by Laura Purcell and a few more.
If you fancy exploring your book collection then please feel free to give this tag a go!
