Hello bookworms and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is Secondary/Minor Characters Who Deserve More Love
1. Linda – The First Day Of Spring
I loved the relationship between Linda and Chrissy. Even when they were adults Linda was very loyal to her.
2. Matt – The Lucky List
Whilst he may of lost his long term girlfriend I felt Matt was the sweetest of all the group.
3. Rowan – Threadneedle
She was bubbly, fun and told it how it was. I loved her family too and her knowledge of witchcraft.
4. Katrina – The Moon Over Kilmore Quay
She had such a firecracker personality and was a great friend to Bea.
5. Jamie – No Such Things As Perfect
Okay so Jamie did have quite a frosty attitude but given her history it was understandable.
6. Gertie – The Flatshare
If you want someone to tell you how wonderful everything is and approve all your life choices then Gertie is not for you. She’s straight talking, to the point and brutally honest and I loved her.
7. Stella – Circus Of Wonders
She took Nell under her wing and taught her how to survive in the circus, couldn’t we all do with a friend like that?
8. Gareth – The Dictionary of Lost Words
Whilst this was a book that primarily focused on its female characters the role Gareth played towards the end really made the story all the more special. He showed his true love for Esme and his letter was absolutely heart breaking.
9. Sofia – Take a Chance on Me
She was the corner stone of all the sisters. The one they turned to when they were lost, upset, happy . I loved the advice she gave each of them and the role she played in story, despite her own troubles.
10. Father Arthur – The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot
I read this book back at the start of the year and I am still talking about Father Arthur. He had an amazing relationship with Lennie and I honestly don’t think the story would of been the same without him.
Have you read any of the ones on my list?
