Hello all,
I’ve decided to make one last attempt at beating my reading goal for this year. I came across this reading challenge last week and it seemed perfect. The whole idea is you read the shortest books on your TBR in the space of 10 days. This will not only bump your reading number up but by reading shorter books you feel like your accomplishing more during the busy festive season.
It is being hosted by Kathy @ Books and MunchesĀ and Destiny from Howling Libraries, definitely check out their posts for more details on entry etc. I wasn’t sure how many short books I would have on my list but I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst the original post said to list the 10 shortest books I’m going to list all the books I have under 300 pages. So without further ado here they are:
- The Magicians Nephew (Narnia )
- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Narnia)
- The Voyager of the Dawn Treader (Narnia)
- The Horse and His Boy (Narnia)
- Prince Caspian (Narnia)
- The Silver Chair (Narnia)
- The Last Battle (Narnia)
- George’s Marvellous Medicine
- Wizard of Oz
- Jungle Book
- The Witches
- Going Solo
- The Pianist
- The BFG
- James and the Giant Peach
- An Abundance of Katherines
- Black Beauty
- Matilda
- Little Mermaid
- Peter Pan
- Looking for Alaska
- The Desperate Diary of a Country Housewife
Now I don’t seriously plan on reading all 22 in the space of 10 days but if I could get 10 off my list that would be great.
Will you be joining the shortathon this year?
